FC Barcelona has posted a new item, 'Novak Djokovic wins Mubadala World Tennis
Championship'




World No.1 Serbian Novak Djokovic who commenced the year 2012 with his
impressive win with theAustraliaOpen title, ended his 2012 season by winning the
Mubadala World Tennis Championship at AbuDhabi, beating Nicolas Almagro 6-7
(4/7), 6-3, 6-4 on Saturday.





Novak who could not win any Grand Slam other than theAustralianOpen, remained in
the limelight and alsosupersededRoger Federer to stay on the top of the top of
the world as the year 2012 comes to an end.

Commenting on the match and his victory, Djokovic remarked:

"It was a fantastic experience again for me coming to Abu Dhabi. This is a
very nice tournament, you always get great matches, very tough matches against
top opponents, and great attendance also."

















Rafael Nadal, who was eagerly awaited to join the Mubadala World Tennis
Championship, could not attend due to ailment and in his stead Nicolas Almagro
was included to play the championship that included top 6 tennisstarsof the
world.



Andy Murray could not do well, something that many see as a bad omen ahead of
the forth coming first Grand Slam of the year 2013 - the Australian Open.
